Mohanlal birthday special: 'Pulimurugan' teaser, 'Janatha Garage' special poster to be released; celebs wish superstar in advance


Fans of Mohanlal are looking forward to celebrating the superstar's 56th birthday on Saturday, May 21. The makers of his upcoming two movies have also planned to celebrate the day in a grand manner by giving special birthday treats to all the well-wishers of the actor, who enjoys a huge fan following in India.

The team of "Pulimurugan" will release the official teaser of the action thriller as a birthday bounty to the actor's fans, who are eagerly waiting to see the performance of the star in the upcoming film. The movie's director, Vysakh, has promised that the one-minute 20-second teaser will introduce the character Murugan, played by Mohanlal. It is said to be a mass-entertaining teaser, which is sure to be welcomed by his hardcore fans. The big-budget Mohanlal-starrer is one of the most-awaited films of this year and is scheduled to hit the screens in July.






The makers of the upcoming Telugu movie, "Janatha Garage," have also decided to release a special look poster of Mohanlal from the Junior NTR-starrer. "The unit has planned a special look for all the fans of Mohanlal, as the actor is celebrating his birthday on May 21st," Vamsi Kaka, the publicist for "Janatha Garage" told International Business Times, India. The movie will be dubbed and released in Malayalam and Tamil. The much-hyped Koratala Siva-directed film is said to be made on a whopping budget of over Rs. 50 crore.

Meanwhile, a special birthday song video for Mohanlal, titled "Happy Birthday Laletta," which has been sung by popular playback singers Vaikom Vijayalakshmi and Lijo Johnson, has been released on the YouTube channel of the latter on May 17. In the music video, which has gone viral on social media, the notable performances of the superstar from his popular movies are used along with the birthday wishes sent out in advance by celebrities, including Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Lal Jose, Salam Bappu, KPAC Lalitha, Nadhirshah, Sibi Malayali, Gopi Sunder, Vijay Babu, Unni Mukundan, Neeraj Madhav and Vaikom Vijayalakshmi.
