    Njan Marykutty is not the kind of film which scours deep into the psyche of its protagonist, but, an archetypal Ranjith Shankar cinema that deserves a watch for its compelling content and performances.Marykutty is an absolutely demanding role, and Jayasurya pulls it off with remarkable conviction, he further proves that no one could even come close to him playing this character.The latest offering by Ranjith Shankar has a pertinent theme and the premise bulit around that has emotional warmth.

    To sum it up, Njan Marykutty is not a flawless piece of craft, but, an undeniably brilliant performer like Jayasurya at the centre overshadows the blemishes.
