Thangamagan Bangalore Lavanya Theater Matinee Status 80% Watched this film today. The fact that this is VIP teams second outing is the prime factor that prompted me to watch this film today itself as I liked VIP very much. The magical blending of realism and cinematic ingredients can be seen in this film too.Velraj is a master in this. The way he narrates the story letting the premise to establish in a realistic manner and then taking the cinematic path in a cohesive manner is really appealing. Dhanush plays the central character named Tamil(ofcourse one can easily guess the flurry of punch dialogues that follows from the name itself) and as always he has done a wonderful job.Same as that in VIP,this film also has Dhanush uttering long dialogues. The film deals with his relationships between the 2 heroines(Amy,Samantha) and his father.First half is all about his first love and its shown in a funny and entertaining manner. The later half forms the crust of the film as the story takes a turn when his father commits suicide. The reason behind his fathers demise and how it affects his life forms the rest of the story. Samantha gave an unusual performance as Dhanushs wife while Amy though looked eye candy as always gave an OK performance.Sathish who plays the hero's sidekick brings in lot of laughters inside the theater with his witty oneliners.Infact in the first half Dhanush-Sathish pair was a treat to watch.RS Ravikumar as Dhanushs father also did a fine job. On the technical side Anirudhs Music was a delight and cinematography was also nice.Editing department stunt department all did a commendable job. All in all Thangamagan is also a good watch but not as good as VIP.A Tamil entertainer that wont exert much stress on your brain.Go for it..! My Rating : 3/5 Theater Response : Very Gud
