    Costumes maketh an actor!
    Said mammukka to me when I was shooting varsham. Remember it was the day we were starting shooting the second stage of Venus life after his sons death. Intro shot in that beard get up is venu opening the door and walking to the gate of his house I had set up the shot and waiting for mammukka.

    He was not turning up.I went to him and he said the costume is not right for this scene. I said we were wearing the same kinda constume until yesterday. Mammukka said that's ok but hes not the same man today. He has gone lean, weak,hopeless..He needs a costume that can reflect all these..Mammukka himself arranged a very lose shirt for the scene and gave the shot.. When I saw him coming out in that costume he was completely a different man, exactly as he said...lean,weak,dead.The new simple costume had done the major magic!
    Lessons you learn working with real legends!!


    Writing this down as a dear actor friend was so inspired when i discussed this yesterday and could be a tip for all aspiring actors.
