Theatre : Calicut Regal Show: First Day 10:30 PM Plot: You should have known by now any way ....A ADGP Mathew Manjooran who had a tragic incident in his life is back to service but to have VRS. After his VRS he is requested by DGP to help on a case where many accused are getting killed. The story is how he solves the case and about his life. Review: The movie has been better than Grand Master and Mr. Fraud from B Unnikrishnan. Most of the visuals were of close up shots which shows the confidence of B Unnikrishnan and his creative alertness. The eye movement of the actors , their mannerisms and even the tiny expressions were very well captured. All the actors including Hansika performed extremely well.Noted act from Rashi Khanna. One of the graceful acts of Unnikrishnan is that he never brought in any Spoon Fed actress in the movie. All looked mature and kept their frames. The movie had its own frames but the old vague style of framing the hero as good , super human and philanthropic character could be found in plenty here. Vishal was good , energetic and expressive but Unnikrishnan spoiled the whole plot in last 30 Minutes. Mohanlal turns out to be the best and vishal portrayed as Villain. Vishal is right WHO IS THE VILLAIN. Indian Police is much interested in nabbing the heroes who provide justice to the society by taking out the evils but never mind in eliminating the evils themselves. How cruel can the police be. Mr Unnikrishnan you still could not come out of the crazy frame work of malayalam cinema where Mohanlal is always right. Its 2017 and the hero can be wrong too. Now coming to Mohanlal Manju combo. The first half had a few flash back scenes between them which was ok but the song in the second half and the social servant Manju really killed the movie. The Movie should have focused on the evils in the society or the villains but here you can see the movie being diverted to give space to Manju and Mohanlal. Unnikrishnan miserably failed in making neither a class or a mass movie but ended up making a mess. The movie is never bad and is absolutely worth a watch if you prepensely go with Nil expectations. The song with manju if chopped of from the movie should be an added advantage for the movie. The climax is the real let down for the movie. Spoiler Hansika changing her mind in minutes after hearing from mohanlal was one of the worst seen i have seen in recent times. Positives : All actors...No one was bad Frames...Beautiful Looks of lal BGM Negatives: Poor Story /Screen Play Mohanlal Manju Warrier scenes in second Half especially talking about her dreams.....Kola Climax Rating : 3/5 One time watchable. Box Office : Movie looks like a rich one with a big budget of around 20 Crore. Around 7 crore from satellite will bring it down to 13 crore. Still the lags , songs and climax of the movie might Disappoint the producer.A theatrical HIT is unlikely. Crowd response: Neutral Valkashnam : Mr B Unnikrishnan you are a good director with class . Agreed but you are equally immature in creating heroic character who is better than every body. Class movies doesnt demand such a hero. The family audience expects a madambi type movie from you and the youth wants a mass one. But this one satisfies none. Enough of this policing and Fraud typos.
