Show time : 9:45 p.m. Status : 60% From the first frame itself the movie looks genuinely refreshing, and you are transported into the natural beauty of Idukki. The movie doesn't have much of a storyline to boast of, but the making is what makes it such a gem. This is what you call a typical Malayalam movie, kind of which we all grew up watching. The good old days of simple storyline with genuine humour laced around it. Dileesh Pothen succeeds in blending the traditional style of story telling with the trends of the modern cinema, and that's where the movie stands out. Fahadh Faasil is brilliant as always, making Mahesh one of his career best. The female leads Anushree and Aparna have done a good job, especially Aparna as Jimcy, looks too realistic and refreshing. The characterisation is so good that each character you come across doesn't feel alien to you at all, it is as if you have seen all of them in your daily life. But the show stealers are really Alancier and Soubin, it is better to watch them on screen rather than me telling about it.The debutants in the movie also look good. Bijibal has comeback with some good songs after a long time. The lack of a proper storyline might be a letdown for some audience who still believe that a good movie should have a good story. This might also be a hindrance in the movie ending up as a blockbuster. To sum up, I would say that old school returns and in style. Verdict : Super hit Rating : 4/5 .
