Ajay Devgn has a big release lined up this Diwali. His directorial venture Shivaay has been making it to the headlines because of its opulence, and the actor has been posting breath taking pictures from its shoots.

While the B town has been all in praise of his upcoming release Shivaay, the actor has now revealed the first look of his next project Sons Of Sardaar, touting it as a tribute to the warriors of Saragarhi.

Here are some details about the battle on which the film is based:

The Battle Of Saragarhi is considered as one the greatest last- stands in the history of time. An army of only 21 sikhs from the British Indian contingent stationed at an army post of the North- West Frontier Province( now Khyber- Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan) was attacked by 10000 Afgan Orakzai tribesmen on 12 September, 1987. Led by Havildar Ishar Singh, the regiment chose to fight to death, rather than surrendering to the enemy.

Since then, 12 September is regarded as Saragarhi day by Sikh military personnel.

Going by the subject and the first look poster, it is clear that we will get to see Ajay in one more fiery avatar!

Ajay Devgn will next be seen in Baadshaho, which was supposed to release on January 26, 2017. However, it's release date has now been pushed back to 12th May, 2017to avoid a clash with Kaabil and Raees
