No one saw this coming but it looks like Vikram liked the script that Vijay narrated to him. The film will be funded by SFF productions and will soon go on floors. OFFICIAL WORD: IS VIKRAM’S NEXT A REMAKE OF DON’T BREATHE? We were the first to inform that a producer is interested to remake a superhit Hollywood film, Don’t Breathe, if Vikram acts in it. This project is still in talks and nothing has been finalized yet. Now there are many rumors doing the rounds that Vikram’s next film to be directed by Vaalu director Vijay Chander will be the remake of Don’t Breathe. To get some clarity regarding this movie, we got in touch with Vijay Chander and this is what he had to say, “My film with Vikram sir is definitely not the remake of Don’t Breathe. I have written a fresh script for him and it will be a mass commercial potboiler.”
Chiyaan Vikram will soon be working under the direction of Vijay Chander. It is said that this project is being bankrolled by Silverline Film Factory who was earlier involved in Karikalan, starring Vikram. This project was shelved and since the production firm has Vikram’s dates, they would be funding the current project with Vijay Chander as director. Sources tell behindwoods that the team is planning to complete the film in straight forty five days. Now that would really be a commendable one. Currently they are in the process of finalizing the cast and crew. On the other hand, director Gautham Menon had told behindwoods that he had narrated a story to Chiyaan and that they would be teaming soon.

The latest update reveals that Sai will apparently be doing the female lead’s role in Chiyaan Vikram’s new film. Currently, Vikram is busy taking his new film with director Vijay Chander on floors and the makers are busy holding discussions with Sai Pallavi for playing the female lead. Though this news has not received any confirmation, this news has created a frenzy in the Tamil media. As of now, Sai is busy shooting for her debut Telugu film Fida opposite Varun Tej.

The actor was recently caught by the shutterbugs in his new look from his upcoming film. In the picture, which is creating quite a buzz on social media, the actor is sporting a thick beard and has got shredded physique in preparation for his role in the remake of the super hit Hollywood thriller. And he surely reminds of Stephen Lang in the makeover. Just weeks ago, Hollywood director Fede Alvarez had said that talks for the Tamil remake of his film Don’t Breathe were on. Fede confirmed the news on Twitter while responding to a question. “All true! (And exciting),” he tweeted. While Vikram playing the role of a blind assassin in the Tamil remake has been widely reported by the media, the makers are yet to officially announce the project. According to reports, the film will be helmed by Anand Shankar, who gave this year’s one of the box office blockbusters Iru Mugan with Vikram in the lead role. The Tamil remake will have some changes from the original Hollywood film to suit the sensibilities of the native audience and will be shot in the scenic hill stations like Ooty or Kodaikanal, said reports. Vikram has also been on a special diet to lose weight to play the role as the shooting for the film is expected to commence from December.
