It is a known fact that the shooting of Baahubali is nearing its completion. The latest news is that the movie unit is filming some key scenes of the film on the outskirts of Hyderabad.



Prabhas and a few key artists in the film are taking part in this shoot. The post production is going on in full swing and the makers are planning to wrap up the shoot as quickly as possible so that they can get ample time for post production.

Directed by Rajamouli, this film is slated for an April 28th release worldwide.

 

Putting aside the controversy of the leaked scenes of ‘Baahubali 2’ director S.S. Rajamouli is continuing with the shoot of his mega follow up to his magnum opus blockbuster ‘Baahubali’.

Today Rajamouli began the first day of shooting the Sword of Baahubali sequence in the Virtual Reality technology that is among the first for Indian cinema. Basically the VR technology is capturing the shot in 360 degree angle using special equipment. With this technology Rajamouli is going to present something breathtaking when the film releases later in 2017.

 

Work in Baahubali: The Conclusion aka Baahubali 2 is going on in full throttle to meet its date with the audience for the 28th April 2017.


The latest information we have on this is that VFx work in the film has reportedly been given to 30 different studios and also freelancers (350+artists) as it is a tough and complex work. Supervisor Kamalakannan is apparently overseeing the act and ensuring everything goes as per plan.



Baahubali 2 directed by S S Rajamouli is easily the most anticipated film of 2017.

 

Depending on how creative one is, we all have our own understanding of why Katappa killed Baahubali. As far as writer Vijayendra Prasad and director Rajamouli are concerned, they must have found all this speculative thinking dangerous. The worst part of this, for a filmmaker, is that a few of the folks might get it right. And, in the age of social media, if s/he were to post his take on YouTube/FB or circulate as Whatsapp forwards, it would result in the suspense dying before the film comes out.

No prizes for guessing that some of them have been doing it. There are every chances that one of such versions was spot on.

A nationally famous portal known for its political-economic content has most recently written that 'Baahubali-The Conclusion' may have been re-shot with an "alternative script".

After all, with people expecting so much from the saga of Katappa's murder of Baahubali, and some of them possibly succeeding in outsmarting the writer (only the writer would know if some of the versions have done that), there is every possibility that the second edition was re-scripted as an afterthought.

Remember that there had been confusing signals about the extent to which the second part was shot while shooting the first part. It was widely circulated that 40 per cent of the second part was shot before the first part's release. This is why Sept 2016 was when the second part was expected to be released. But that was not to be. Even this year, there were contradictory reports about the extent to which the shoot was completed. The roles of characters like Tamannah's seem to have been re-written thoroughly.

All this points out to the probability that 'Baahubali-The Conclusion' was re-scripted and several portions re-shot as an afterthought.

 

The shooting of Baahubali is going on a brisk pace and news is that the shoot will be wrapped up by December 27th. Some of the most important scenes of the film have already been wrapped up by now.



Rajamouli is making sure that he wraps all the scenes right away and frees all his actors for their next projects. Meanwhile, the makers have already started the promotions all over and the response from places like Delhi comic con has been huge.

Over the last three days of this mega event that promotes popular culture, Team Baahubali has been enthralling fans by letting them experience the VR magic of The Sword of Baahubali, apart from cosplay and other fun-filled activities.

The film’s antagonist, the menacing Bhallaladeva, Rana Daggubati, flew down to Delhi on the last day and spent some time with fans, bringing more buzz to the Baahubali franchise.

 

As the film’s shooting will be wrapped up on December 27th, maverick director SS Rajamouli is planning to step up the promotional activities for his ambitious magnum opus, Baahubali – The Conclusion.



Apparently, Rajamouli has planned for a special photoshoot this Thursday and the principle cast of Baahubali 2 will go under the arc lights. The stills from this photoshoot will be used for the first look posters and other promotional materials.

After wrapping up the film’s shooting, Rajamouli and his team will get into a heavy duty visual effects work. This much-awaited multi-starrer film is slated for its release in April next year.
