Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (English: O Heart, It's Difficult), also known as ADHM, is an upcoming Indianromantic drama film written and directed by Karan Johar. It featuresRanbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan andAnushka Sharma in the lead roles. The film is scheduled for release on 28 October 2016 on the Diwali weekend.

Teaser of Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkildropped today and to say that it is spectacular would be an understatement. We were totally blown over by the beauty and the intensity of the teaser.

While it was fairly evident that Ranbir Kapoor would be seen playing the role of a singer in the film, we know precious little about the characters of Saba(Aishwarya Rai Bachchan) and Alizeh(Anushka Sharma).


But in an interview with Rediff, Karan Johar shared very interesting details about Anushka and Aishwarya’s character. Here is what he said “They’re complicated, without saying too much. And they are immensely progressive characters. I know that Aishwarya has never, ever played a part like this. She plays a poet who isn’t a very good poet, and so she is aware that she isn’t as respected in her community of poets. This is partly because she is too beautiful to be taken seriously and because she isn’t a great poet. She comes from a situation of heartbreak herself.

Anushka comes from a dysfunctional family. Everyone has a broken hearted situation in some way. I have to say, though, that they are both incredibly strong and complex women characters, while being completely different in terms of character goals.”

He also went on to share interesting details about Ranbir’s character, “And Ranbir… I don’t know where that floodgate of emotion in Ranbir comes from. There’s a pent-up dam and there are little holes through which the emotion leaks out. One day it will burst.”

Well that sure sounds like an emotional roller coaster. Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will unveil this Diwali.

 

A few hours ago, we saw the teaser of Ae Dil Hai Mushkil; barely had we come out of the spell cast by the teaser, and the poster is here is take us to that magical world all over again.
