Karthi to join hands with Maangaaram fame Lokesh for an action entertainer. Project will be rolled by S.R.Prabhu of Dream Warrior Pictures after the stupendous success of Theeran Adhigaram Ondru. Maangaram was one of the notable critical and commercial success of 2017. Project is likely to go on floors after Karthi completes the romantic comedy which will be directed by debutant Rajath with Rakul Preet Singh playing the female lead. 'Siruthai' is presently shooting for a yet to be titled movie directed by Pandiraj produced by his elder brother Suriya under his homebanner 2D Entertainer. Pandiraj project will hit theatres on early 2018.

Young Lokesh Kanagaraj made a promising debut with the crime thriller Maanagaram. His maiden directorial venture not just won him rave reviews but managed to put up a decent show at the box office.

Sources say that Lokesh Kanakaraj will be joining hands with actor Karthi next. If all things go well, it would go on floors early next year.

Karthi is currently busy with Theeran Adhigaram Ondru in which he bplays a tough police officer. Directed by Vinodh, the movie has Rakul Preet as heroine.

Remember Maanagaram featured Sundeep Kishan, Sri and Regina Cassandra in lead roles, while Charle and Ramdoss played supporting roles.

The film was about a handful of diverse characters who find themselves in extraordinary situations that are interlinked with one another.
