Date : 03/01/2017 Theater : PVR Cinemas Time : 8:15pm Status : 40% Arrival is a relief from the usual sci-fi dramas,its a neatly crafted cinema.This one is definitely not agreat movie like many of the reviews suggests,Arrival has its share of ups and downs.The best aspect of this movie is undoubtedly its solid emotional subplot,it is the factor which makes thiscinema interesting.Amy Adams was brilliant playing the lead character,it is her performance which carries the movie forward,she excelled with her superb act.Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker were good with their performances. Dennis Villenueve,the director of Prisoners,Enemy and Sicario did a commendable job in making this a completely different take on a much seen genre.Arrival is basically a subtle portrayal of a sci-fi drama which has a superb emotional subplot playing in the background.The quality frames along with the flowing bgm made the proceedings much more interesting.In short,this one is not a high voltage sci-fi drama that give prior importance to the visualgrandeur and action,rather,this one is a subtle and restrained presentation of that genre. Overall,Arrival is Good ! 7/10
