Bajrangi Bhaijaan (English translation: Brother Bajrangi) is an Indian Hindi-language comedy drama film,[5] directed by Kabir Khan. Written by K. V. Vijayendra Prasad, the film was produced by Salman Khan and Rockline Venkatesh. It stars Salman Khan and Harshaali Malhotra, with Nawazuddin Siddiquiand Kareena Kapoor Khan in supporting roles. Salman Khan plays Bajrangi, an ardent devotee of Hindu deity Hanuman, who embarks on taking a mute six-year-old Pakistani girl (Malhotra), separated in Indiafrom her parents, back to her hometown in Pakistan.

 

Bajrangi Bhaijaan grossed ₹333 crore(US$51 million) worldwide in its first week,[42]beating the previous record of ₹332 crore(US$51 million) worldwide by PK. The film went on to net ₹3.15 billion (US$48 million) and ₹4.26 billion (US$65 million) gross[43] in India [44][45] and grossed ₹1.792 billion(US$27 million) overseas for a worldwide gross of ₹6.03 billion (US$92 million) in 31 days[43][46] and currently is the second highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in domestic markets and Second highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time in international markets.

 

Salman Khan's latest blockbuster "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" continues its record-busting spree. After becoming one of the highest box office grossers of all time, "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" has come up as the highest TRP (Television Rating Point)-rated Bollywood film ever.

Salman Khan starrer "Bajrangi Bhaijaan"recently had its world TV premiere on Star Gold channel and it has broken all other previous TRP records, including that of Aamir Khan starrer "3 Idiots".

The TRP of "3 Idiots" was 10.9, which was the highest till date but "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" has surpassed that by claiming a TRP of 15.5.
