Review Batman vs Superman : Dawn Of Justice Review

The movie kicks off from where we left off in Man of steel, Zod vs Superman fight. This ends up in devastation of metropolis and Gotham. This leads to the tension between superman and Batman. Batman for some reason don't like the way Superman goes about his business and how it affects the people. Similarly Superman don't like the way batman do his vigilante stuff. Adding to that we have Lex Luthor who is not happy with both Vigilante and Superman and would like both of them to fight and destroy each other. Most of the first half is invested in building the tension between Batman and Superman and set them up for a major fight. But this setting up was disappointing and unconvincing to say the least. Rest of the story is how they ends up fighting each other, how they come to know about their common enemy and the big masala movie fight against the common villian.


After experiencing Nolan's triology on Bat vigilante its unconvincing and painful to sit through uninteresting incoherent build up for a fight. Reason for the epic fight feels childish after going through the build up and real present day threats discussed in Nolan's triology. But its not a bad watch if you are ready to take Nolan out of your mind and just enjoy the good old, good vs bad fight. Then if you are patient enough to sit through uninteresting build up other than bat mobile scene and mystery behind wonder women, you are going to get a close to 30 mins of pretty expensive graphic fight which will surely going to excite you.


In the acting side Affleck came up with a convincing and decent performance as Batman. Henry cavil looked confusing as Superman and most of the blame for that has to be given to careless and confusing characterisation. Isenberg as lex luthor was decent. Amy Adams looked a little jaded in her role. Gal Gadot as Wonder women gave some goose bumps especially in the climax fight. Rest of the cast did a decent job.

All in all if you are looking for some graphic extravaganza and a fight between your super heroes it might not disappoint you. But if you are looking for a good story telling which forces you to invest in the characters and root for their emotions followed by an epic fight it might not be a great experience for you. Disappointingly,I belongs to the second group of people and left the theatre unsatisfied even after seeing charming wonder women and long extravagant fight.
