Review Dilwale & Thangamagan - Cinemalover's Take !

Dilwale


Dilwale is a watchable entertainer and for the fans of SRK like me,this would appeal more.Dilwale is no different from Rohit's previous flicks nor it is free of cliche's,but this one surely entertains you.Dilwale relies on its grand sets,exotic locations,Well picturised songs and ofcourse SRK-Kajol combo.This movie would have been a failuire if SRK was'nt there,The hollowness of the film is compensated by the sheer prowess of this star - Bollywood ka Badshah .The film relies on his shoulders.SRK delivers a spelndid perfomance,He is all heart in the movie ,His transformation scene will give goosebumps for his fand and the terrific inetrval block with His "Jaan Le loonga dialogue",He is superb,just suerb in both phases .Kajol looks gorgeous and puts up a good perfomance,SRK-kajol chemistry is still engrossing.Varun was okay,at times over the top.Kriti was also just okay.Others were good.

1st half was entertaining,SRK-Kajol flashback portions really worked out well and the twist before the iinterval also was taken well,the interval block was superb :thumbup1:.2nd half was just average,it was more like golmaal 3,the climax was also weak,but it had some superb scenes of SRK.

Technically,just like all big budget bollywood movies,this one also stands tall with its superb dop and racy cuts.Music was good,Janam & Geruva was superbly picturised.Bgm also suits the movie.Direction by Rohit shetty is like always,The movie has this typical Rohit shetty signature.

Overall,A Pleasing Entertainer !

Thangamagan

Thangamagan is a delightful entertainer which suceeds in pleasing both youth & families.Its a neatly packaged family entertainer with commercial elements in the right propotion.The film is carried by Dhanush,such a wonderful actor he is,Really a herculean talent .He is pitch perfect as the lover boy,Caring husband and an ideal son,at the same time he just rocks in the mass scenes with his amazing dialogue delivery .Samantha's perfomance is just wow,she is really amazing as the loving House-wife,such restrained and well controlled perfomance .Amy was good.Others were also apt in their roles.

1st half was complete fun with superbly written one-liners.The romance track was taken well,from Samantha's intro,The movie fits into the family entertainment zone.The interval block was really good.2nd half was also nice,it was more cinematic rather than 1st half.It had 2 superbly choreographed action sequences.Climax came fast but okay.

Technically.Dop was good while editing was apt.Songs and Bgm by Anirudh is one of the biggest plus of this film,every song was really nice,Bgm was rocking the Tamzihan bgm was really good :coolthumb:.Direction by Velraj is too good,he mainatined a perfect balance and was in full control of things.

Overall,A Delightful Entertainer !
