Date : 20/05/2017 Theater : Q Cinemas Time : 8:10pm Status : 100% Godha is a well crafted cinema.Filled with some superbly worked out comedies,earnest performances and an inspiring theme,this can be termed as a perfect entertainer.The film has shades of both a comic entertainer and a sports drama,well it does sparkle in both the genres.The unadulterated beauty of the village itself makes this a warm experience,when it was backed by some power packed sequences and hard-hitting dialogues,Godha eventually turned out be a novel cinema.Tovino is fast growing as an actor by each cinema,the cuteness he brought out in the portrayal of Anjaneya Das made it a lovable performance.The transformation of Das was superbly handled by Tovino,the way he underplayed many of the sequences shows his mettle as a remarkable actor.Wamiqa Gabbi in her mollywood debut comes up with a stellar performance,the film was mostly a Wamiqa show.Then comes Renji Panicker who delivers a solid performance,Captain can be ranked among his finest roles.This one has a large array of supporting actors and all of them were fine in their respective roles. Godha is a laudable attempt considering its technical perfection.Vishnu Sharma takes the film a notch above with alluring frames,both the rustic village and Punjab was exceptionally shot.Editing was crisp by setting a perfect running time of about 120 minutes.Music and Bgm by Shaan Rahman was wonderful like always,the energy he oozes on the screen through those electrifying soundtracks is praiseworthy.From Kunjiramayanam to Godha,Basil Joseph displays immense improvement in his craft.When Kunjiramayanam was just an entertainer told in the backdrop of a fictional village,Godha alternately entertains the viewers through a strong and relevant theme.The film deals with a serious theme and could have easily slipped into the genre of a major sports drama (which in turn increases the density of comparison with various cinemas),but the jovial presentation made this much more engaging.To sum it up,Godha is a superb entertainer and indeed one of the best cinemas to have come out this year. Overall,Godha is a Perfect Entertainer ! 8/10
