Date : 12/04/2017 Theater : Q Cinemas Time : 10:00am Status : 70% Puthan Panam is yet another Ranjith movie which didn't meet the expectations.The absence of a solid theme and a bunch of unwanted characters affected the movie largely.Mammukka however delivers a superb performance,he was just massive playing the lead role of Nithyananda Shenoy.Whenver he appears on the screen,the movie was a delight to watch and the scenes involving Mammukka were indeed the best.Mammukoya is another superb performer,his combination along with Mammukka was the film's biggest strength.The child artist and the portions featuring him played the spoilsport,it was lazily taken.There is a huge array of supporting actors,many of them brought without much use.Still most of the actors delivered neat performances. On the Technical grounds,Puthan Panam has nothing exceptional to boast off.The frames were ordinary and editing lacked the required pace.There were many unwanted scenes which could have been trimmed easily.Songs were unimpressive while the Bgm was good.Ranjith portrayed Mammukka in a superb manner which will appeal to the common audience and will be a treat for the Mega Star fans,but same is not the case with his making.Like many of his previous movies,the build-up towards the main plot was impressive,but the movie clearly lacks the fizz and often brought boredom.To sum it up,Puthan Panam will be enjoyed by fans since Mammukka is seen in full form and for others,it will be an ordinary outing.
