Mammooty was going through a rough patch after his latest releases Parole and Streetlights were not able to make it count at the Kerala Boxoffice .So, went to watch Uncle without any expectations. Uncle is a sort of a road movie which deals with a present social theme which caused already many issues in the state.Coming to the film,it all starts with Mammooty and Karthika coming home in Mammooty ' s Vehicle.It deals with the emotions of parents of the girl during their daughter's journey period.Joy Mathew and Girish Damodar is successful in implementing the same.T hey have made it in a way that we will feel the same happened in our family at some point of time in our life.Another important message is something would have happened to us or our friends or we have seen the same in a newspaper column. Coming to the performances , Mammooty as usual did an Excellent job as the main character.He nicely underplayed the role.The heroine was also decent with her performance.Muthumani was superb in the movie especially in climax scenes.Joy Mathew,Suresh Krishna,KPSC LalithaL,Kailash etc did a commendable job.
