Badrinath Ki Dulhania (English: Badrinath's Bride) is an upcoming Indian romantic comedy film, directed by Shashank Khaitan, and produced by Karan Johar under theDharma Productions banner. Starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, the film marks the second installment of a franchise that began with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014). Principal photography for the film began in May 2016, and the film is currently slated to release on March 10, 2017.[1]

 

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan's upcoming film Badrinath Ki Dulhania's first look is out, and it looks vibrant, colourful and totally desi.

The first look of Badrinath Ki Dulhania, showcases Varun Dhawan riding a bullet and is courting Alia Bhatt in a colourful mela.







Alia Bhatt, is dressed in colourful traditional wear and spots Varun Dhawan at the mela, within the blink of an eye, Varun manages to impress Alia and makes her sit on his bike not on the back seat, but on the front.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania, is a sequel from Varun-Alia's 2014 released movie, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, and the film goes on floors today.

The overall first look of Badrinath Ki Dulhania is cute, adorable and vibrant. Badrinath Ki Dulhania, is produced by Hiroo Johar, Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta under the Dharma Productions banner and would be directed by Shahshank Khaitan.

 

Varun Dhawan will be seen as rural muscular boy in ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ with Alia Bhatt. This is not a sequel but takes the Dulhania franchise forward.

His trainer Prashant Sawant said, "He had been working out with the look in mind after wrapping up Rohit Dhawan's ‘Dishoom’. We needed to increase muscle mass so besides weight training I added more carbs in his diet, like brown rice and sweet potatoes”.

Some portions of the movie have been shot, including a romantic number. For now Varun is shooting alone with Sahil Vaid who had played his friend Poplu in ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’. Alia resumed shooting for Gauri Shinde’s next.

Excited Varun took to twitter and shared a picture with the film's crew from the last day of the first schedule. Varun also shared on Twitter that he missed Alia on the last day of the first schedule.

This movie ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ is a story set against the rural background of North India. It is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar and presented by Fox Star Studios and being helmed by Shashank Khaitan. The film is set to release on March 10, 2017.
