After an eventful first day shooting of The Sword of Baahubali, where he forayed into virtual reality technology for the first time in his 25-year-old film career, maverick director SS Rajamouli had some time to catch up with the just released theatrical trailer of Ram Charan’s Dhruva. Rajamouli took to Twitter just a while ago and said, “Quite stylish Quite promising. Well done Surender Reddy and Charan.” Talking about remakes in general, Jakkanna went on to say, “Contrary to the belief, Remakes are actually tough”.
The much-awaited theatrical trailer of Ram Charan’s forthcoming action thriller, Dhruva, was unveiled to a thunderous response from fans last night. Speaking at the trailer launch event, the film’s producer Allu Aravind revealed why he had to postpone the film’s release to December 9. The senior producer said that apart from December 9, they had contemplated releasing Dhruva on several other dates including December 2, but due to the ongoing cash crunch situation following demonetization, they were worried that audiences may not throng to theaters to watch Dhruva as they are busy queueing up at banks and ATMs. Allu Aravind further said that the entire team would be attending the premieres in New Jersey and San Francisco and the pre-release function in Tirupati on December 4.
The post-production formalities of Dhruva are nearing its completion soon. Meanwhile, Ram Charan, who is currently dubbing for the film will wrap his part by tomorrow. The film is touted to have amazing confrontational scenes and Ram Charan will be mouthing some suave and stylish dialogues for which he is working hard in the dubbing part. Inside reports reveal that his role has come out quite well and he will stun everyone with his improved performance. Directed by Surender Reddy, this film is produced by Geetha Arts and Hip Hop Thamiza composes music.
pre-release event of Dhruva will be held in Tirupathi on the 4th of December. The latest update reveals that the makers are planning this event on a huge scale. Huge crowds are expected for this event which will be attended by the entire cast and crew. A special chief guest which is under wraps is also expected to grace this occasion. Directed by Surender Reddy, Dhruva is an important film for Charan to get back in the game. Rakul Preet is the female lead in this film and the already released trailer has impressed one and all.
There is something about 'Dhruva' which has the audience expecting a punch. What otherwise explains the fact that it crossed million views the fastest? Before you knew, #FastestMillionViewsForDhruvatrailer was launched to celebrate it. It all started from the very first moments. To be precise, it got 2 lakhs views in 20 mins. Then, it went on to register 6,80,000 views in 3 hours. Maintaining the momentum well toward the midnight, it clocked almost 9 lakhs in 4 hours. Even Rajamouli was all praise for the trailer, adding that remakes are actually tough. "Quite stylish, quite promising, well done SurenderReddy and Charan. Contrary to the belief, Remakes are actually tough," he tweeted. The pre-release event will be held on 4 Dec.
Speaking at the trailer launch function of 'Dhruva', producer Allu Aravind said, "We wanted to release the movie on Dec 2, but given the currency problem, we decided to release on the 9th after studying the situation. We are happy to release the trailer, which was planned to be released in the pre-release event. After watching the trailer, though, we wanted to release as soon as possible." He also revealed that there are efforts afoot to hold promotional events in Vizag, Tirupathi and Vijayawada. "The unit members will go to US to watch the premieres with audiences. Such is the kick I got after watching the trailer. The pre-release function will be held on Dec 4. The list of guests will be announced soon." NV Prasad said, "I have known Chiranjeevi garu since the days of 'Khaidi'. My association with Allu Aravind is 30-years-old. Charan has worked really hard to impress his fans. After this movie, Charan's fans will raise their head in pride. 'Dhruva' is a great movie." Director Surendar Reddy said, "I am waiting for the movie's release like all of you. More than all of us, Charan worked more. I thank Allu Aravind garu and NV Prasad garu for the opportunity." Rakul Preet Singh said, "This is my second with film Charan, Allu Aravind garu and Surendar Reddy. That's why 'Dhruva' is special to me. 'Thani Oruvan' is my favourite movie. I was wondering if someone will remake it. As expected, it was remade. I am feeling lucky that I am part of this movie. The screenplay is very different."
When the fearsome Dhruva I.P.S. works out with rage. When he discovers a formula. When he arrives like a Yogi on the prowl. If yogis want to know that one thing by which everything is known, Dhruva is that criminal who wants to vanquish that someone along with whom a thousand criminals will go down the drain. That's calculated heroism, not just daredevilry, for you. The villain is not just gutsy. He is full-on mental. It's not just a battle of the swords. It's a psychological warfare. The businessman who has made politicos his puppets will be neutered. But not before putting up a roguish fight against the Good. For all we know, it's Decriminalization (don't miss the allusion. Doesn't it remind you of Demonetization?). It's decriminalization of past, present and future. That must be a mind game to reckon with. Get ready to become an Aravind Swamy fan, by the way. He looks so classy as the ruthless Siddharth Abhimanyu. Man, Tollywood is changing. As for Charan, he is so merciless. Who will not want to accept a love proposal from cute Rakul Preet Singh. But that is OK. After all, it's a Kurukshetra. Wait for Dec 9, for that's what you can do.
