Just watched #judwaa2 from Qatar, Loved ur energy and entertaining vibe @Varun_dvn . It is a mind relaxing movie lots of love

 

Judwaa 2 has taken a very good start of around 35-40% at most places which the advance had hinted at. The opening is best at multiplexes outside metros in places like Jaipur and Indore and if families take to this film in these places there will be no stopping it. The single screens in these cities are also good. The opening is better than the last film of Varun Dhawan Badrinath Ki Dulhania, which did very well at the box office. The start is better than that film at almost every station across the country. Even in Gujarat where it is last day of Navratri the collections compare well with Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The weakest market for the film will be East India but there holidays for Puja will give the film a good push.






The big South film Spyder has not done well but it has still taken up a lot of screen time in Nizam / Andhra but Judwwa 2 has opened very well in Marathawada and despite Spyder there is a chance that it can still notch up around 75 lakhs nett in Nizam / Andhra. Judwaa 2 again proves that the audience will come if a film looks like it will give some entertainment, obviously it has to live up to their expectations when they come in to emerge a real winner but at least the audience has come and that gives the film a good chance.



On this opening the film has a chance to be the biggest opening day for solo Varun Dhawan starrer beating ABCD 2 which collected 14.28 crore nett on day one and was propelled by excellent collections in 3D screens.

 

Judwaa 2 has taken the fifth biggest opening of the year after Bahubali - The Conclusion, Raees, Tubleight and Jab Harry Met Sejal. It is the third widest release of the year after Bahubali - The Conclusion and Tubelight with 3400 plus screens.



On this opening the film could challenge the numbers of Jab Harry Met Sejal which clocked up 14.69 crore nett on day one. The two Varun Dhawan starrers have the best openings after the four big films of 2017. Below are the top openings in terms of occupancy till the noon show..
