Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s Katamarayudu is turning out to be quite a biggie in Tamil Nadu, despite the fact that it’s a remake of Ajith, Tamannaah starrer Veeram. We had recently reported that the film’s rights in Tamil Nadu were bought for Rs 90 lakhs, a record sum in itself. The latest news is that hundreds of Ajith’s fans have come out in support of the film.





For the past few days, Ajith’s fans have been tweeting in support of Katamarayudu and several fan clubs have reportedly put up massive cut-outs and posters wishing Katamarayudu a big success in Tamil Nadu. This is truly unprecedented and it shows the close bond which Pawan Kalyan and Ajith’s fans share, given how similar the two stars are in their respective industries.

The film itself is going to have a big release in several parts of Tamil Nadu. In several multiplexes in Chennai, the film has been given maximum number of shows and the situation is said to be quite similar in other important centres across Tamil Nadu. In Chennai, several early morning shows have been planned. Directed by Dolly, Katamarayudu is slated for release on March 24.

Pawan Kalyan’s soon to be released family entertainer Katamarayudu’s pre-release event was held last night in Hyderabad. The theatrical trailer of the film, which was released at the event, was impressive and has caught the fans’ attention big-time.





Meanwhile, Megapower Star Ram Charan, on his official Facebook page, posted, “Looks like a power packed celebration, Mana Andari Katamarayudu in theaters from March 24th” and even shared the YouTube link of the trailer.

Directed by Dolly, this film is produced by Sharath Marrar under his Northstar Entertainments banner. Shruti Haasan will be seen as the female lead in this village family entertainer, which has music by Anup Rubens.

 

Powerstar Pawan Kalyan’s Katamarayudu is one of the most awaited films of the season. Going by the film’s trailer, which was released last night, it is quite clear that the film is going to be a feast for Pawan Kalyan’s fans and it has all the ingredients of a commercial potboiler.



The latest news is that the theatrical rights of the film for Tamil Nadu have been sold for a record Rs 90 lakhs. It is said to be the highest ever price for a Telugu-only film that is going to release all over Tamil Nadu and it shows how popular Pawan Kalyan is beyond the two Telugu speaking states. Although films of Rajamouli get a higher amount, they are either bilinguals or dubbed in Tamil; however, Katamarayudu is going to release as a straight Telugu film.

Directed by Dolly, the film also stars Shruti Haasan in the lead role. Sharrath Marar has produced it and Anup Rubens has scored the music. The film is slated for release on March 24.

 

Katama Rayudu - Censored, Release date finalized



Actor Pawan Kalyan's upcoming movie Katama Rayudu has been censored with a clean U by the Central Board of film certification. And as per our earlier report on the film's release date (Read about it here), the movie will be hitting theatre screens on March 24, 2017, giving the lead actor's fans something to look forward this Ugadi season. The team is also gearing up for releasing a single from the film titled Emo Emo later this evening (6 PM).

A Kishore Kumar Pardasani (Dolly) directorial, Katama Rayudu is a remake of the Tamil hit film Veeram starring Ajith Kumar. Shruthi Haasan who played the love interest of the lead actor in the original will be seen reprising her role in the Telugu version as well. Written by Akula Siva, the musical scores of the film have been rendered by Anup Reubens and has been produced by Sharath Marar of North Star Entertainment.

Katamarayudu is an upcoming Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster hit Veeram and the movie is helmed by Kishore Kumar Pardasani with Pawan Kalyan as a lead. ANup Rubens scored music for the movie. Let's check out whether Anup Ruben able to deliver solid album unlike the disappointing affair by Devi SriPrasad in Tamil version.


Mira Mira Meesam: Mira Mira Meesam is precisely tailor-made for Pawan Kalyan fans with Ramajogiah Sastry's lyrics glorifying the protagonist while Anup Ruben's whistle worthy enthusiastic background is enough for the fans to rejoice their favorite hero on screen but same cannot be said for the music lovers, though.


Yelo Yedarilo Vaana:✔ Anup Rubens strikes a chord with Yelo Yedarilo Vaana, simple folk-tinged tune ably supported by Amal Raj and Subhani's string sections which blend smoothly especially in the interludes. The persistent use of plucked string sections comes as another vocal along with splendid Dhanunjay. Naveen owns the second interlude with his flute solos and adequately supported by Malavika.


Laage Laage:✔ Nakash Aziz seems to be regular in Telugu movies nowadays and the man gets to croon few interesting compositions, Laage Laage also falls into this category. Though the track fails to hook the listeners till the end because of the hodgepodge of sounds mixed together, Nakash Aziz and Sandiliya's violin holds the song.


Emo Emo: Anup Rubens brought together another Hindi singer Armaan Malik to render the saleable melody and the tune though sounds staid and routine work, Shreya Goshal and Armaan Malik nails their respective vocal portions. As a standalone track, nothing stands out especially nevertheless it is harmless listen from the composer.


Jivvu Jivvu: Jivvu Jivvu is a mass number with a slightly engaging usage of harmonium whereas the tune remains caters to the mass audiences. The song needs Pawan Kalyan's screen presence to make this blockbuster. The interesting aspects of the song are happening in the backgrounds and the tune remains mostly generic one.


Love Theme: The brief love theme is adequately pleasant and engaging but with one-minute duration, the theme fails to make an impact despite the fine usage of Naveen's flute.


Netha Cheera:✔ Netha Cheera is another folk based song rendered effectually by Sai Charan and Sahithi with additional vocals provided by Simha. Though the song has nothing special to offer, the tune and arrangements are foot tapping enough to clasp the listeners throughout the song.


Verdict:



Katamarayudu sounds better compared to the tepid Tamil version and the album is sure musical treat for Pawan Kalyan fans.
