Vijay Sethupathy who is known for his versatility and newfound style is now shooting the songs for his colorful entertainer Rekka. The team is currently canning a song on the beaches of Krabi.

Earlier, Vijay's Puli had shot the song Yaendi Yaendi in this location. Also, Sundar C's Aranmanai 2 had a sensual song shot at the same beach.

Rekka is directed by Rathina Shiva, and has music by Imman. The film will hit the screens for the October 7 weekend.

Thanks to Sethupathi's success, Vijay Sethupathi has regained the confidence from distributors that his upcoming film Rekka has been sold out even before the teaser, trailer and audio launch, which is a rare thing for the actor.

Sivabalan Pictures, a newbie has bought the TN theatrical rights of the film from Common Man Picutures and the price quoted is said to be a record one for a Vijay Sethupathi starrer.

Lakshmi Menon is the romantic interest of Vijay Sethupathi in Rekka, which is said to be a racy action entertainer like Ghilli. Rekka is targeting the long Pooja holiday weekend and it will be clashing with Remo, Kavalai Vendam and Devi.

 

Vijay Sethupathi's Rekka to Clash with Sivakarthikeyan's Remo and Jiiva's Kavalai Vendam

Rekka starring Vijay Sethupathi and Lakshmi Menon in the lead roles is directed by Rathinasiva of Vaa Deal fame. Sivabalan Pictures has recently bagged the distribution rights of the film. The distributor has announced that the movie will be releasing on October 7 for the Pooja holidays.



Other movies that are scheduled to release on October 7 are Sivakarthikeyan's Remo and Jiiva's Kavalai Vendam.



Rekka will be an out and out commercial entertainer. D.Imman has scored the music. The movie is produced by Comman Man B. Ganesh, who produced Vijay Sethupathi's 'Orange Mittai' earlier.
