Indian 2 will have Kamal Haasan in two roles?


Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan was previously seen in Vishwaroopam 2, which released on August 10. The film, which featured Kamal, Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar and Rahul Bose, was an average grosser at the box office worldwide.

In 2017, Kamal Haasan announced that he will once again team up with director Shankar for Indian 2. The latest buzz in K-Town is that the Uthama Villain actor is said to be playing two roles in the sequel as well.


Reports suggest that Indian 2 will focus on corrupt political leaders and how they affect the country's economy. At present, Shankar is busy with the pre-production of Indian 2 and the post-production work of Rajinikanth's 2.0, which will release this year on November 29.



Indian 2 is said to go on floors later this year. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan is expected to wrap up Sabash Naidu.

The prequel, which dealt with corrupt government officers, also saw Kamal in two roles - as that of a father and son. However, the father Kamal Haasan was already an octogenarian in the film. It'd be interesting to see how Shankar incorporates these two characters in the sequel.

Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn is said to be roped in for the project. In an earlier interview, Kamal Haasan revealed that Ajay was approached for Indian 2. It is also speculated that Nayanthara may be roped in as the heroine.
