THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Shiv Sena chief has written to chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan seeking protection as he allegedly started receiving death threat from the BJP. M S Bhuvanachandran has written to the chief minister that since Shiv Sena has been not the part of the BJP-led NDA in Kerala and Shiv Sena had worked against BJP in the assembly election, now the BJP is issuing threat to Shiv Sena leaders. ``Even though Shiv Sena is the part of NDA at the Centre and in Maharashtra, we cannot align with the BJP in Kerala since we cannot accept their political violence being encouraged in the state,'' said Bhuvanachandran. Following this we had opposed the BJP candidates in the election and we also protested against the statement made by prime minister Narendra Modi comparing Somalia with Kerala. ``Ever since me and our leaders have been receiving death threats through phone and letters, I received a letter on May 24 n which I have been threatened with life,'' said the Shiv Sena chief. He has also complained that the shops and establishments owned by the Shiv Sena workers in the state are facing attacks from the BJP workers. ``I don't see it as an isolated incident. It is very calculated move to eliminate me and my party workers from the state. I have witnessed several unknowing persons following me several times after the assembly elections,'' said the Shiv Sena chief. In his letter to the chief minister he has written in all the threats received. It has been clearly mentioned that Shiv Sena was one among the reason for the defeat of BJP candidates in few constituencies. He has requested to the CM to allow a probe into the brains behind the death threats he has been receiving and take action against them.
