Taapsee Pannu who's next has her playing the badass agent in 'Naam Shabana' has been raking some amazing reviews for her incredible hard work she has put in her role in terms of the action she has been seen performing.

Having trained through an intense two-month long training to ace her stunts and moves, Taapsee is surely today's perfect representation of what a woman can do when it comes to her self-defence. So much so that Taapsee was invited to several women-oriented events especially on the International Women's Day.

To ensure that she does her very best to support as many as causes for woman safety and empowerment, Taapsee attended not just one but four events representing this message. What's so unique about it, each of these events were in different cities.

Taapsee started off in Hyderabad to flag off a women police marathon and then flew down to New Delhi to deliver a talk on importance of self-defence, from there she went to Pune to confer awards to women who have done incredible work in several walks of life and ended it in Mumbai at an event where influential media and entertainment personalities spoke on various topics of women empowerment. Called the WeSpeak, Taapsee will be speaking extensively about the growing importance of learning self-defense for women in today's day and age.

"It's a phase that I'm really enjoying. The issues and values I stood on for years are finally getting platforms to go out to my audience. I am happy that my movies which I have done or I'm doing has helped people notice my stand as an actor and more importantly as a human being. I am more than happy to make myself a part of all the occasions and events on this International Women's day", said Taapsee.

 

Neeraj Pandey’s directorial 'Baby' had proven to be a hit amongst the audience when it released in 2015. Now there's some more good news for all movie goers and fans of 'Baby' and Neeraj's work as the team comes back together for another mission led by Shabana Khan played by Taapsee Pannu.

'Naam Shabana' has the unique distinction of being India's first spin-off of a successful franchise. Taapsee's character had resonated in an impactful manner with Baby's audience and the same character is now spun-off into a full length film of its own.

'Baby' had several memorable characters like Akshay Kumar playing Ajay Singh Rajput, Anupam Kher playing Shukla Ji, Rana Daggubati playing Jai Singh Rathore and Danny Denzongpa playing Feroze Khan. The film was credited by many as ushering in a new era of action-thrillers for Indian cinema.

Added Neeraj Pandey, "I remember sharing this idea of a spinoff with the principal crew and cast and the one thing that struck me was that everyone was extremely positive and inquisitive about what all could be done with it. Each one of us felt that this was that just needed to be told. Shivam's take on this story is a treat for the audience that liked BABY."

With 'Naam Shabana', the team heads off for more daring missions as they put country before self yet again. The spin-off will see new characters emerge which are played by Manoj Bajpayee and Prithiviraj Sukumaran who join the Baby team for this outing.
