Bogan Movie Review; Bogan Rating – Action Packed Thriller

This is second collaboration of Arvind Swamy and Jayam Ravi duo who earlier seen in blockbuster film Thani Oruvan in 2015. Now, This is another Hit for their combo. Arvind swami is the show-stealer. Enjoyable screen presence & he’s effortlessly nonchalant. Surely a class movie

Bogan movie has got overwhelmed response from the fans and audience. Kolaveri Singer Anirudh Ravichander has sung the track ‘Damaalu Dumeelu’ already listed in popular songs of 2016. D Imman’s music, Soundararajan’s cinematography and Anthony’s editing are also the played crucial role in films success.

Bogan Movie Review; Bogan Rating - Action Packed Thriller

 

BOGAN MOVIE REVIEW

We witness the release of plenty of movies week by week. People tend to categorize movies into different genres and are often turned off when they get to watch similar movies over and over again. Here is one movie that doesn't take the usual route. Though a little superficial, Bogan's core premise is fresh for Tamil cinema.

Jayam Ravi as a honest cop, Arvind Swami as an incredibly powerful intelligent con man and Hansika as the typical Tamil film heroine who comes for a couple of love scenes and songs. The film revolves around these 3 characters. Bogan starts as yet another cop love drama. Jayam Ravi dances on the streets and then starts shooting at few goons. We could later grasp that it is a police operation (god knows what mission it was). The next 20 mins are about how Jayam Ravi falls in love with Hansika. That portion really slowed the pace of the film.

Then comes the man of the show, Arvind Swamy. How one of his con acts leads to a battle with Jayam Ravi forms the crux of the story. Bogan is not just that. It has more surprises that are better seen than reading.

There is a fantasy element in the film which looked fascinating during the early parts of the movie but gets a little boring towards the end, especially during the climax sequences. Lakshman's dexterity in coming up with few an intelligent storyline needs to be praised, but the overall execution could have been better. The pre-climax and climax portions looked hurried, and one feels this script demands a better ending. Had the screenplay in the second half been a little better and tight, we would have had an outright winner.

Villain's character sketch is so well written; he looks so deadly. But someone who is so intelligent and powerful gets a similar ending just like in any another masala film, wasn’t so convincing. Let’s not muster with the logical loopholes of the movie as the core concept deals with a fantasy element, but one feels more detailing should have been given to the fantasy part.

Both Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swami have given rocked the floor with their towering screen presence. Hansika, on the other hand, looks bubbly and adds to the glamour quotient. Soundarajan's hard work in the cinematography department can be noted. D Imman's background music thrusts the movie upwards. But apart from ‘Damaal Dumeel’ track no other ones leaves an impact. Antony's editing also deserves praises with sleek cuts in the fast-paced sequences of the movie. However, one might get the feeling that the film could have been trimmed a little more. The love portions in the film could also have been controlled to make it a better arrangement altogether.

Verdict: Bogan could have seduced more with a sharper screenplay!

Bogan Movie Verdict – Overall Bogan A slow start and went steadily. Perfect first half. Looks another hit on the way. bogan is a good example for move goes well, if we give equal power to villain role. The movie is receiving Hit to super hit reports from the audience those who watched the movie.It was really a good start for the movie to receive positive feedback from early morning shows so it should perform well at the box office. Go And Watch Film in Theraters Don’t Miss.
