Sultan again did very good business on Saturday and Sunday despite the opposition of a major release like Dishoom. The collections saw huge gains on both Saturday and Sunday as it grossed over 3 crore nett in its fourth weekend. Despite a huge opening and extended first week, the film has still got the best fourth weekend collections of the year. The total business of the film is now 297 crore nett after its fourth weekend. The film is holding good collections in Delhi NCR and East Punjab with latter on course to cross Bajrangi Bhaijaan by the end of its run. The business of Sultan till date is as follows.

The film is still heading for around 300 crore nett and it should be around the 300 crore nett mark by the time Mohenjo Daro and Rustom release in the second week of this month. The Worldwide business of the film will finish around 575 crore which like India will also be the third highest ever.

 

Sultan has seen fantastic Hold this Weekend with fall coming less than 60% over previous Weekend.. Film fetched 72lacs approx this Weekend taking grand total over 33cr approx..

Hindi films usually start falling big after First Week! Sultan also saw big fall in second Week but that was expected as first Week itself broke records with massive margins but since then film has held strong each Week..

Film has no major threat next Week again which means film should touch 34cr before end of it's run! Film is already biggest Hindi grosser ever leaving behind Dhoom 3 (25cr approx) which was also a Geo Films release.

Sultan has created its first lifetime all time record as it became the highest grosser of all time in Rajasthan over the weekend. It had crossed Bajrangi Bhaijaan at the end of the third week and crossed PK over the weekend by adding around 20 lakhs nett to its total. The highest share in Rajasthan is the 10.10 crore of Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan has comfortably beaten that with over 10.50 crore. Sultan still has a bit more to come in Rajasthan and will top 19 crore nett and end at around 19.25 crore nett. The desert state always tends to out perform for Salman Khan starrers, its a long standing trend as its been the smae with his last two films Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and now Sultan. The top all time grossers in Rajasthan are as follows.






1. Sultan - 18.80 crore (26 days)

2. PK - 18.70 crore

3. Bajrangi Bhaijaan - 18.41 crore

4. Dhoom 3 - 17.34 crore

5. Prem Ratan Dhan Payo - 15.68 crore

The film is closing on some other circuits records like East Punjab, CI and Assam and when and if the film crosses 300 crore nett it maybe the number one film in some of theses circuits if not all three.

 

Sultan dropped around 35% on its fourth Monday from its fourth Friday and the business in the fourth week seems to be heading for around 4.25 crore nett which will take its lifetime business to around 298 crore nett. The drop in the fourth week is looking to be 73%. A similar trend over the next few weeks will leave it short of 300 crore nett by a very slender margin. The 73% drop is because of a major release like Dishoom but next week the competition is much weaker so it should trend better and be very close to 300 crore nett before the clash of Mohenja Daro and Rustom. Sultan has now crossed the 85 crore nett benchmark in Mumbaia nd the 60 crore nett benchmark in Delhi /UP. Basically the business from just these two circuits is far more than any other release this year. The business of Sultan till date is as follows.
