Salman Khan starrer ‘Sultan’ opened in close touch with 4352 screens in India and 1100 screens overseas. Film has everything going for it, from release on Eid to massy dialogues to top star cast. And it lived upto all hype!


Film opened to almost 70% opening and it seems that it was going to run to capacity throughout the day. This was clear sign that film would challenge all time day one records for sure. But filmwas slower from afternoon onwards as Eid affected the collections in certain parts of country. Film collected 36.54 cr nett on day one. Film was 3rd behind 44.97 cr nett day one record of ‘Happy New Year’ and 41.75 cr nett of PRDP.


Film collected 3.04 million $ (20.5 cr) on day one in overseas which is fantastic considering mid-week release. Film collected highest ever opening day number in Pakistan (2.2 cr, 3.45 crPKR) and Gulf (1.4 million $). Film took outstanding start and it collected 37.32 cr nettas single screens were lot better than day one. Film was superb across the board on Friday too with tremendous trend. Film collected 31.67 cr nett which was awesome. Film reached new heights as it crossed 30 cr nett mark consecutively 4th day. Film collected 36.62 cr netton Saturday.


Film was super strong and collected 38.21 cr nett and thus added 30 cr plus on all five days, an unimaginable feat. Film was solid on Monday with just 50% drop from 1st day despite reduced ticket price. Sultan collected 15.54 cr nett on Monday which was super solid.


Sultancollected 12.92 cr nett on Tuesday followed by 11.10 cr nett on Wednesday, 10.82 cr nett on Wednesday and 9.52 cr nett on Thursday. Film collected 229.94 on extended weekend tillthursday. Despite couple of new releases film managed very good numbers on second Friday. Film added 7.43 cr nett which was a decent hold and then collected 11.46 cr nett on Saturday with big jump. Film jumped again on Sunday and collected amazing 15.18 cr nett. Film collected 34.07 cr nett in second weekend and it should collect 50 cr nett plus in second week. Film added 4.08 cr nett on 2nd Monday which was good hold and drop of only 50% from 2nd Friday. Film added 3.72 cr nett on 2nd Tuesday, 3.42 cr nett on Wednesday and 3.51 cr nett on Thursday.



Film collected 48.80 cr nett in 2nd week which is among top 7 of all time. It was 80% drop from 1st week which below par though considering huge holiday weekend its decent. Film dropped further on 3rd Friday and collected 2.14 cr nett but as expected it jumped big again on 3rd Saturday with 3.81 cr nett followed by jump on Sunday with 5.14 cr nett figure. Film collected 11.09 cr nett in 3rd weekend which is just 65% drop from previous week. Film dropped on 3rd Monday with 1.30 cr nett figure followed by 1.25 cr nett on Tuesday, 1.15 cr nett on Wednesday and 1.10 cr nett on Thursday. Film has 3rd week total of 15.84 cr nett which is good. Film collected 57 lakhs nett on Friday and 98 lakhs nett on Saturday with 60% jump. Film added 1.51 cr nett on Sunday with 40% jump. Film collected 3.06 cr nett over 4th weekend. Film collected 34 lakhs nett on Monday, 36 lakhs nett on Tuesday, 34 lakhs nett on Wednesday and 33 lakhs nett on Thursday. Film collected 4.43 cr nett in 4th week.




Film added 24 lakhs nett, 49 lakhs nett and 78 lakhs nett on 5th Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Film added 1.51 cr nett in 5th weekend. Film added 16 lakhs nett on Monday and 15 lakhs nett on Tuesday. It crossed 300 cr nett barrier today. Looks like another huge hit from Salman but it will fail to beat Aamir Khan starrer highest grosser 'PK' or even lifetime number of his own biggets hit 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'.



Film has 34-day day total of 300.05 cr nett and it is heading for 301 cr nett lifetime finish going by the trend. Film crossed 305 cr domestic gross in 9-days 410 cr worldwide gross. Film collected 13.7 million $ (91.93 cr) over 5 day extended weekend. Film collected 17.46 million $ (117.15 cr) in 1st week in overseas and 20.30 million $ (136.33 cr) in 12 days. Film collected 21.45 million $ (145.46 cr) in 2-weeks and 22.57 million $ (151.97 cr) by end of 3rd weekend and 24.20 million $ (162.10 cr) by end of 4th week. Huge worldwide blockbuster!

As expected, YRF's Sultan starring Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma crossed the coveted 300 crore mark last night. The grand total of the film stands at Rs. 300.05 crore. Sultan is the biggest hit of 2016 and the third biggest hit of all time after PK and Bajranji Bhaijaan.

Sultan is YRF's first film to cross the 300 crore mark and Salman Khan's second after Bajranji Bhaijaan. It's also Anushka Sharma's second film to reach the milestone, her first being PK.
