Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabaali’ and Salman Khan’s ‘Sultan’ were all set to clash at the box-office. However, the release date of the former has been changed. ‘Kabaali’ will now be releasing a week before ‘Sultan’.

A source said, “‘Kabaali’ was locked in for July 7, as an Eid release alongside ‘Sultan’. The’ Kabaali’ team felt that ‘Sultan’ would not affect the box office collections of Rajni Sir’s film in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.”

However, recently it was revealed that the Salman Khan starrer will be releasing in Tamil and Telugu versions as well. The source added, “That’s when team ‘Kabaali’ panicked. They quickly brought forward their release from July 7 to July 1.”
