    Nadirshah to direct Mammootty in a comedy

    Rumours were rife that Nadirshah will be teaming up with Mammootty for his next outing. While the director had earlier told us that the duo had "only discussed the possibility of a project", we now get to hear that they have zeroed in on a script and have also roped in a producer for the upcoming film.




    Scriptwriter Benny P Nayarambalam tells us that he's currently working on the script for the film along with Nadirshah. "We have been discussing and tweaking the script but it's too soon to let out the plot or Mammukka's character in the movie. It will be an entertainer laced with humour and would be in the same vein as Nadirshah's previous two movies," says Benny, referring to the filmmaker's Amar Akbar Anthony and Kattapanayile Rithwik Roshan.




    On directing Mammootty, Nadirshah had earlier told us, "It's a dream for any filmmaker to helm a movie with Mammootty and Mohanlal. But it also comes with its set of expectations. As far as I am concerned, the subject will always be the hero in my film; and most of my effort goes into perfecting the script. Only after that I think about which actors to cast."




    Meanwhile, Benny has another big project on the cards next year - Lal Jose's first directorial with Mohanlal in the lead. "Discussions for the movie are also progressing in parallel. It's again a subject that has humour and will have Mohanlal as a college professor," says Benny, who had previously scripted the Dileep-starrer Welcome To Central Jail.
