First look to release on karthis bday

 

It is well known that Karthi’s next much awaited project is with the legendary director Mani Ratnam. Through few sources we learn a major change in Karthi’s itinerary. It is speculated that the Mani Ratnam project might kick start only by the month of November and in this interim gap Karthi will be involved in a project that will be helmed by Sathuranga Vettai fame director, Vinoth.

This project is touted to be produced by Vasan Visual Ventures. It should be noted that few days ago reports suggesting that Karthi will act in Prabhu Deva’s direction for the above mentioned production house took its rounds. Now, does this mean that Vinoth replaced Prabhu Deva or is it going to be two projects for two directors that will be funded by Vasan Visual Ventures?

Official announcements must only help in clearing the air.

 

Earlier this week, there were reports surfacing that Karthi would be completing a quick project with director Vinoth of Sathuranga Vettai fame before joining Mani Ratnam's next biggie.

However, a press release from Karthi's side has now come, clearing the air on Karthi's plan for the year. According to the statement, Karthi will be wrapping up Kashmora by June after which he will start Mani Ratnam's film. While shooting for the latter, he will also dub for Kashmora simultaneously.

After completing Mani Ratnam's film, Karthi will join Vinoth for a thriller, which will be bankrolled by Dream Warrior Pictures.

 

One of the mega projects underway in Tamil cinema is ‘Kashmora’ directed by Gokul and starring Karthi , Nayanthara, Sri Divya and Vivekh in the lead roles. The story is reported to happen in two time frames and filming is taking place in thirteen grand sets.

The word ‘Kashmora’ roughly translates to World of Spirits in English, but the other significance is that one of the characters Karthi plays, is also named Kashmora. Karthi appears as a King, a normal youth as well as a man with tonsured head. The film is in final stages of shooting and will enter post-production soon with the producers Dream Warrior Pictures eyeing a Diwali release.
