This is a clarification in regards to recent media reports that Ashutosh Gowariker has been spoken to by another production house about the release date of his upcoming film, Mohenjo Daro. As the spokesperson of Ashutosh Gowariker Productions, I would like to clarify that he has not been spoken to and that there is no change in the release date of Mohenjo Daro. As officially announced more than a year ago, on January 15, 2015, the film will release on August 12, 2016.

There is a specific promotional plan in place for our film and our campaign will begin as scheduled by our team for the same.

Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, presented by UTV Motion Pictures and Ashutosh Gowariker Productions, and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur and Sunita Gowariker, Mohenjo Daro stars Hrithik Roshan and introduces Pooja Hegde along with Kabir Bedi and Arunoday Singh.

Hrithik Roshan starrer 'Mohenjo Daro' is an epic love story set in the Indus Valley civilization while Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Rustom’ is based on the famous Nanavati Case set in 1950s. Both these movies are set to release on 12th August.

Earlier, reports suggested that the formers’ release date has been pushed back. However, an official statement from Ashutosh Gowariker’s spokesperson cleared the rumor.

The statement said, "As officially announced more than a year ago, on January 15, 2015, the film will release on August 12, 2016. There is a specific promotional plan in place for our film and our campaign will begin as scheduled by our team for the same."

 

Bang Bang' actor Hrithik Roshan recently opened up on his feeling that his upcoming movie 'Mohenjo Daro' will be one of his best till date. He assures that, this movie will turn out to be one of the best films of his career.

Recently at an event Hrithik said; "For 'Mohenjo Daro', I am travelling back in time. It has been a great journey, great experience. I really believe it is going to be one of my best films. I hope and pray that the audience also agrees with it when the film releases".

This movie is directed by ace and renowned filmmaker Ashutosh Govarikar. The movie is an epic love story that is set in the Indus Valley civilization. The movie revolves around the protagonist that is played by Hrithik, who falls in love with his enemy's daughter, a role essayed by newcomer Pooja Hegde.
