Peranbu - Poignant to the core !!!

എൻഡ് ക്രെഡിറ്റ്സും കണ്ട് തീയറ്റർ സീറ്റിൽ നിന്നും എഴുന്നേറ്റപ്പോൾ മനസ്സിനുണ്ടായ ഒരു മരവിപ്പുണ്ട്. ഒരു പക്ഷേ ഒരിക്കലും മറക്കാൻ സാധ്യതയില്ലാത്ത ഒരു paralysed kind of feel.
ഇത് ടൈപ്പ് ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ കൈകൾക്കുണ്ടാകുന്ന വിറയൽ ആ മരവിപ്പിൽ നിന്നും അമുദവനും പാപ്പായും തന്ന ഉള്ള് പൊള്ളിക്കുന്ന തണുപ്പിലേക്കുള്ള തിരിച്ചു പോക്കാണ്.
എന്ത് കഥയാണിത്..
എന്ത് കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളാണ്...

റാം എന്ന അസാമാന്യ സംവിധായകന്റെ ട്രീറ്റ്മെൻറിനെ പറ്റിയും നിലപാടുകളെ പറ്റിയും സിനിമയുടെ സാങ്കേതികതയെ പറ്റിയുമൊക്കെ പറയുവാനും പ്രശംസിക്കുവാനും ഏറെയുണ്ട്.
പക്ഷേ ഉള്ള് നിറയെ ആ അച്ഛനും മകളും മാത്രമാണ്.

ഇന്ത്യൻ സിനിമയുടെ മുഖം എന്ന് മറ്റ് ഇൻഡസ്ട്രിക്കാർ പറയണമെങ്കിൽ അമുദവൻ ആയി നിങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തു വച്ചതിന്റെ ഫ്രീക്വൻസി ഊഹിക്കാവുന്നതേ ഉള്ളായിരുന്നു.
Legendary would be the simplest term to describe this performance. Just divine

ബാലൻ മാഷിലും വിദ്യാധരനിലും പട്ടേലറിലും അച്ചൂട്ടിയിലും മാടയിലുമൊക്കെ കണ്ട അസാമാന്യമായ ഒരു subtlety ഉണ്ട്. അത് ഏറെ വർഷങ്ങൾക്കു ശേഷം കാണുന്നത് ഇന്ന് അമുദവനിലാണ്.
I admit that some movies like Paleri Manikyam, Pranchityettan,Munnariyippu etc had that speck of this man's acting brilliance. But Amudhavan has that genuine charm & subtlety of the actor in Mammookka in its complete sense which other characters I mentioned above don't have (what I felt).
ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള കഥാപാത്രങ്ങളിലൂടെയാണ് നിങ്ങൾ ഇന്ത്യൻ സിനിമയ്ക്ക് മുഖവും ഞങ്ങൾ മലയാളികൾക്ക് നിങ്ങൾ ഹൃദയത്തുടിപ്പും ആകുന്നത്.. ആകേണ്ടത്.

& Sadhana as Paappa was just wondering like hell. Hats off girl ️️️

I'm running out of words to write about this totally heartening, emotionally haunting & disturbingly beautiful moving drama.

Peranbu is a Path breaker by all means & if you miss this one, then remember one thing that you're missing one of the five most poignant movie experiences of the decade. Dot.
