Evergreen romantic heroine of Kollywood, Trisha after tasting success last year with ‘Yennai Arindhaal’, ‘Boologam’ and ‘Thoongavanam’ is working on a few women- centric films this year. ‘Nayaki’ is a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu which is directed by Govi which stars Trisha in the lead with Ganesh Venkatraman as her pair. The film is said to be in the horror comedy genre with Sushma Raj, Manobala, Kovai Sarala and Jayaprakash in the cast. Sources close to the team have confirmed June 10th as the release date for the film. Looks like Trisha fans will have much to cheer in a few weeks time as reports suggest the longstanding heroine has rocked the screens in this one with a strong performance.
The girl with the urbane killer looks Tapsee Pannu who sizzled in films like ‘Aadukalam’, ‘Kanchana 2’ and ‘Vai Raja Vai’ is currently busy with a handful of Bollywood projects one among them titled ‘Pink’ has Amitabh Bachan in the lead. Tapsee known for her philanthropic activities has given a huge boost to Hyderabad based female boxer Likhita Battini by raising funds through various organizations to aid her training and sponsorship for her participation in the Rio Olympics , 2016 which will kickstart on August 5th. A great gesture indeed by the lovely Tapsee to help one of India’s promising youngster to showcase her talent to the world and hopefully bring a medal back home.
Yesteryear actress Meena, who was recently in news when her little daughter Baby Nainika debuted in Vijay's Theri/Police, is learnt to be launching a production house. According to our sources, Meena is planning to produce big-ticket movies with top actors. She would want to make it big in both Telugu and Tamil. The names of the stars she has chosen to produce films with could mean that at least one of them will be a bi-lingual. (But this is pure speculation at this moment). Meena is set to make one of the movies with her Bhamane Sathyabhamane co-star! She is planning to make movies with Superstar Mahesh Babu, the legendary Kamal Haasan, and Dhanush. Specific announcements are expected to be made when she launches her production house on May 28.
