Rumors have been rife that Singam Suriya might play a cameo in Venkat Prabhu's upcoming sequel to the cricket-based successful venture, Chennai 600028. It is believed that Venkat, who had worked with Suriya in Masss last year, is said to have roped in the latter to play a brief role in Chennai 600028 II. When contacted, Prabhu denied the rumour with a laugh. Busy wrapping up the project which brings most of the cast from the first part, the film also stars actor Abhinay Vaddi, most popular for playing mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan in his Tamil biopic. Produced by Venkat, the film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
If sources are anything to go by, superstar Rajinikanth is said to be undergoing kidney-related treatment in the US. While sources inform that there's nothing serious to worry about, but the fact that his stay has been extended has raised some flags. It was revealed that nearly a month ago Rajinikanth visited AIIMS and after a few round of tests was advised to undergo treatment in the US. Hence, on the pretext of going on a holiday to the US, the superstar has been secretly undergoing special treatment, according to reliable sources. He's expected to return to India in the second week of next month. This is also being cited as the reason for the postponement in the release of Kabali from July 1 to July 15.
