SAITHAN BECOMES A VICTIM? Vijay Antony starrer Saithan which was slated to release on November 17 has now undergone a change in its release date. The recent demonetization issue has surely reduced the audience occupancy in cinema halls. It has victimized a few films (including G.V.Prakash’s Kadavul Irukaan Kumaru) in the past week and Saithan also joins this list. In order to avoid this glitch, the film is most likely to be postponed and the new release date will soon be announced. Stay tuned!
UDHAYANIDHI ON A NON STOP RIDE! As we all know, Udhayanidhi Stalin is simultaneously working on three projects. He is currently shooting for Saravanan Irukka Bayamaen under the direction of Ezhil and this schedule is expected to go on till the 23rd of November. After this, he will be joining the sets of Gaurav's film on the 26th of November and will shoot for that till 8th December. Being a crime thriller, it is said that the film is proceeding well at a steady pace. Following that, he is most likely to resume shooting for Podhuvaga En Manasu Thangam, with debut director Thalapathy from December 10th. In a month's time, by 10th of January, the film will be wrapped up, we hear. Udhayanidhi is a busy man, indeed!
VISHAL'S STRONG RESPONSE AGAINST HIS EXPULSION The latest hot news is Vishal has been suspended from the Producer’s Council temporarily. To clear the air, he called for an urgent press meet and we produce below the crux of his interaction with the media. “I am yet to receive the dismissal letter and I happen to see only from my press friends. I also realized that it just has the seal and no signature. I am surprised that a casual statement of mine, mentioning bonda bajji has been so seriously taken which has apparently led the council to this decision. I have no personal grouse against any office bearer of the Producer Council. I am a little peeved that there was no discussion with me on this before sending out this letter. I am not going to file any defamation case. Whatever it is, I will take the legal guidance and take this matter forward. What Sivakarthikeyan faced recently, I have also faced and if I had raised my voice then, perhaps the situation would have been different now. My only concern and question is when piracy is so rampant, what are the measures taken to curb it? Whenever anybody comes across any piracy related issue, they tag or inform me only. This is an issue that an entire industry should come together and fight. I am awaiting the announcement of Producer Council election in January and I can guarantee that there definitely would be an opposition team to fight the election.
