Tiger Zinda Hai is running riot on Monday with its collection running on course to record the highest Monday of all time which was Bahubali - The Conclusion at a little over 40 crore nett. It is a national holiday so collections are at high levels but its like a Sunday for the metros where collections drop in the evening. So if the Sunday pattern holds the collections could be lower than 40 crore nett but to counteract that there is the Xmas holiday period where people take extended holidays till the New Year which could lead to a limited drop in the evening and a humongous 40 crore nett total

Basically the film has challenged the mighty 500 crore nett colossal Bahubali - The Conclusion on Sunday and Monday which pretty much tells at what level this film is at. Bahubali - The Conclusion also had a holiday on Monday though it was not a national holiday. Whether the 40 crore nett comes or it has to settle for a little less remains to be seen later on in the night but what is sure that it is a historic Monday and the highest ever by an outright Hindi film. The 150 crore nett mark will be crossed in four days which is a first for the Hindi film industry and the 200 crore nett mark looks in sight within seven days.

Tiger Zinda Hai recorded the second highest day of all time on Sunday and the the highest ever for the Hindi film industry. The collections of Tiger Zinda Hai may come in 20-25 lakhs higher on Sunday with final collections but the Bahubali - The Conclusion number is safe.

The biggest days dominated by Bahubali - The Conclusion but the Sunday of Tiger Zinda Hai has got very close to the record of highest day ever and has easily surpassed the figure of Dangal which is best for the Hindi film industry. It is the first time that an outright Hindi film has ever collected over 45 crore nett. Also it was Christmas Day for Dangal last year which gave the Sunday a little bit of extra padding which enabled it to go over 40 crore nett while the benefit was less probably came in the evenings in metros as its a holiday the following day. Tiger Zinda Hai had the second highest opening weekend of all time after Bahubali - The Conclusion and the highest of all time if we count the outright Hindi films only made in the Hindi film industry. The film has gone 10 crore nett past Sultan which released last year and it was a normal weekend whereas it was a holiday period for Sultan .

If we compare with Sultan then its mainly because of tax changes that the film is ahead in terms of NETT collections while the amount collected at the ticket counters which is GROSS is the same at 146 crore apprx. Still Tiger Zinda Hai has done over a non holiday period while Sultan was a holiday period which does make it a bigger achievement. (All collections for Hindi language only and three days only))

Tiger Zinda Hai set a Hindi film industry record as it grossed close to 115 crore nett over the first weekend with the collections on Sunday being phenomenal. The collections are huge all over with film being driven by the core Hindi audience be it multiplexes and single screens. The high end multiplexes were less and lower than last years Xmas release Dangal but the Salman Khan and action factor made sure it easily scored over Dangal in the opening weekend as the mass audience came out in numbers. The only circuit which is not huge is Tamil Nadu / Kerala but its not the core Hindi film audience there so makes little difference to the overall picture. The first three day figures of Tiger Zinda Hai are as follows.

Saturday - 35,25,00,000 apprx

Sunday - 45,50,00,000 apprx

Grand Total - 1,14,75,00,000 apprx

The trend of the film is very strong as it managed to show growth on Saturday despite a strong start and Sunday went to another level. It is a national holiday on Monday so it will record another big day and looking at the weekend trend it should take advantage of the post Xmas period and sustain into January.
