FINALLY THE BIG DAY ARRIVES FOR THIS BIG TEAM! Vikram Vedha is one project that has been in the pre-production stage for quite a while now. This venture directed by husband-wife duo Pushkar-Gayatri finally goes on floors from today, 16th November. It is a multistarrer film featuring Madhavan, Vijay Sethupathi, Kathir, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar and Shraddha Srinath. While Shraddha Srinath of Kaatru Veliyidai fame will be Madhavan’s pair, Varu is expected to play Vijay Sethupathi’s lady love in the film produced by YNot Sashikanth.
YNot Productions had announced their next venture, Vikram Vedha, directed by the duo Pushkar and Gayathri. The film went on floors on November 16th and has a star cast of Madhavan, Vijay Sethupathi, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Shraddha Srinath, Kathir and John Vijay. Sources tell us that the first schedule of the film has just been completed which featured Vijay Sethupathi who is alleged to be playing the role of a goon (Rowdy). We are not sure if he is going to play a comedy 'rowdy' like the one he played in Naanum Rowdy Dhaan or a real thug. Shooting for the portions featuring Madhavan are yet to start, claim sources. The team is said to be starting their second schedule from the 28th of November, the location for which is slated to be North Chennai.

Vijay Sethupathi apparently plays a ‘rowdy’ in the film. 1st schedule of the film did not have Maddy’s portions but he will apparently be involved in the next phase of shooting which will start from the 28th of November. Vikram Vedha, the Gayathri-Puskar directorial is funded by Sashikanth for his Y Not Studios. The story is about a gangster and a cop. The film has an interesting cast in the form of Madhavan, Vijay Sethupathi, Shraddha Srinath, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Kathir and others. Sam C S is composing the music. Today, the 15th December, the film commenced Maddy's portions while they had already begun with Vijay Sethupathi's parts some time ago. Maddy took to Twitter to share his happiness, “First day of shoot ...VIKRAM VEDHA.. what a trip .. its excitement all the way... @sash041075”. Suriya also conveyed his wishes to the team when he tweeted, “All happiness to you n team brother!! #VikramVedha” We wish the team the best!
