'Baaghi' scored again over its second weekend with 7.91 crore coming in. With this, the film's collections now stand at the 67.63 crore mark. The film is all set to cross the lifetime total of Neerja [75.65 crore] and Kapoor & Sons [73.3 crore] this week itself and should be aiming at a lifetime total in the vicinity of 80 crore.

As a star-maker, producer Sajid Nadiadwala has put his money on Tiger and trusted director Sabbir Khan to deliver goods. That would mean that the film now boasts of highest collections for a leading man in his second film itself as amongst the other young stars, Ranveer Singh's Ladies v/s Ricky Behl [32.97 crore], Varun Dhawan's Main Tera Hero [55 crore], Arjun Kapoor's Aurangzeb [22.35 crore] and Sidharth Malhotra's Hasee Toh Phasee [39 crore] had collected much lesser. One waits to see if the trio returns for another film now pretty soon.

Baaghi did fair business on its second Monday and the week should go clsoe to 12 crore nett. The four day second week business of Baaghi is as follows

Saturday - 2,50,00,000

Sunday - 3,00,00,000

Total - 9,00,00,000



The film is the second biggest hit of the year with its likely film share to be around 37 crore which is far more than all the films this year barring Airlift and Fan and the latter did not perform..

Tiger Shroff, has delivered a superhit through his action film Baaghi, and the movie has already raked in 67.63 Crores at the box office within 10 days of its release. Baaghi, has maintained a steady balance of people thronging into the theatres as the movie has a good storyline and tremendous action scenes.

Baaghi, which was written off as a moderate entertainer by crictics before its release, has turned out to be massive and proved everyone wrong.




When asked about the box office success, Tiger Shroff was quoted as saying,

"Well I don't really understand numbers I'm still new in the industry, people were saying seven eight approx. figures and when we got 11. I obviously thought it is a fantastic thing because 11 is a way better than 7. I am just very happy with the response and the buzz. Whoever was watching the film they were just so positive and appreciating."


On the day of its release, Baaghi was cricticised by a few reviewers because it lacked love and romantic scenes. Tiger Shroff, was also cricticised for 'not knowing how to act' in love scenes. However, this did not stop Baaghi's run at the box office and the audiences loved the movie.



This proves that if a films content & storyline is good, nothing can stop it from becoming a box office success, not even negative reviews. Baaghi has become the top grosser for 2016 in CP Berar with its ten day business crossing 5 crore nett and the only film this year to hit 5 crore nett . Below are the top ten Hindi grossers in CP Berar this year..

The film has also topped last years Gabbar Is Back in CP Berar which was released in the same week last year and in the days to come will beat films liek Ram Leela and Ek Villain where the latter was a near 100 crore nett grosser and the former a 100 crore nett plus grosser

 

After the super success of ‘Baaghi’ which stars Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor, the makers have planned to make a sequel of the film. The second instalment will be shot in Shanghai.

It is said that, the Chinese Government has invited the makers of ‘Baaghi’ to shoot the sequel in their country. Talking about the same, producer Sajid Nadiadwala stated that the shooting of ‘Baaghi 2’ will start in 2017 in Shanghai. The director of the film, Sabbir Khan, is also excited about the sequel.

Reportedly, Tiger will be trained further for stunts by a martial arts expert from China.

Tiger Shroff's Baaghi is a movie with a plan, and producer Sajid Nadiadwala is all set to make the film into an action franchise just like Hollywood movies such as, Rocky and Rambo!

Yes, action fans can rejoice as Bollywood will soon have its own franchise of action-packed movies, and Tiger Shroff is in the drivers seat.

When questioned further about the franchise, Sabbir Khan was quoted as saying, "We will have to figure out how to organically take the franchise forward. It will have the treatment and the content to take it to the level of a Rocky or Rambo."


Sabbir Khan, says that working with Sajid Nadiadwala makes him feel very comfortable and he will put all his energy into the development of the franchise. "Working with Sajidbhai is like working in my own home production. There is a great comfort level. I am taking this one day at a time and I want to put all my energies into one film and give it my best."
