Baaghi opened pretty well especially at mass centres. The opening is around 30-35% on average and in terms of the initial in the mornings its one of the better openings probably on par with a Airlift though that film picked up hugely from the afternoon, Not counting the two big Hollywood releases Batman v Superman and The Jungle Book its probably the second or third best initial of the year with Fan leading.



The opening at various multiplexes could have been better but this tends to happen with the action genre unless its a big budget big star venture or backe by superhit music. The Baaghi music is fair but not the sort that gives the film a bigger initial. The Maharashtra belt has been affected by a Marathi film Sairat which has opened to excellent collections.



The film has been released on around 2225 plus sites with 2750 screens across India which is the second biggest release of the year. The first day is looking at a decent number and a pick up in multiplexes of Delhi, Punjab and Mumbai later on could give it that extra push.
