The director though rubbishes the rumours, saying, "It's all hearsay. We are yet to cast anyone apart from Dulquer. We have had discussions with several actors but haven't finalised anybody yet." Pratap though informs us that Anjali Menon's script for the film is almost done and the next step would be casting. "Be it Ustad Hotel or Bangalore Days, the characters in Anjali's scripts are well fleshed out and are cast perfectly. It won't be any different for my film. The actors will be screen tested before being finalised," he says. The pre-production of the film will be lengthy and systematic, informs Pratap. "I want the storyboard to be complete and actors to attend rehearsals before we start shooting," he says, adding that he wants the movie as technically-perfect as possible. While Pratap doesn't divulge much about the plot, he does say, "It's a fun contemporary love story that happens in the backdrop of a fictional beach." The picturesque locales in and around Varkala will serve as the main setting. Anjali, the director and his associates had visited the locations earlier to zero in on the spots. "Varkala is a beautiful place and Anjali's script explores all of its scenic locales," he says, adding that they are planning to start filming by July this year.
