Coming out of a larger-than-life role like Baahubali and its stupendous success, Prabhas is still soaking it all in. He might be going through withdrawal symptoms but he has already begun working for his upcoming project.Already a huge star in Telugu cinema and making waves with Baahubali, Prabhas has already moved on to his next project - Saaho, which he says will be released simultaneously in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.
He will be co-starring opposite Anushka Shetty who played the feisty Devasena in the Baahubali franchise. Prabhas and Anushka certainly share an amazing on-screen chemistry which may have been one of the reasons why the makers of Saaho roped her in.
But do you know that Anushka was not the first choice for the film. It was Bollywood fashionista Sonam Kapoor who was approached for the role. Speaking to DNA, a source revealed,“The filmmakers gave Sonam a brief idea of the film, and she agreed to meet them. But neither did the meeting happen nor did the makers return with a bound script.”

 

New Delhi: Blockbuster actor Prabhas has become the most sought-after person in Hindi film industry at present—all thanks to his superlative performance in magnum opus 'Baahubali 1 and 2'.

The film has done an incredible business at the Box Office globally and this has made Prabhas and other actors from the film the talk of the town. Now, Prabhas is next going to star in 'Saaho' and his 'Baahubali' co-star Anushka Shetty is going to be seen opposite him. But now reports are doing the rounds that she was not the first choice to play the female lead. According to dnaindia.com, it was actually Sonam Kapoor who the makers wanted to cast for 'Saaho'.

Basking in the blockbuster success of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Tollywood star Prabhas is teaming up with Sujeeth Reddy for Saaho. Ever since the project was announced, it looks like the makers had tough time in finalising the leading lady's role.

While Bollywood actors like Shraddha Kapoor, Disha Patani and Pooja Hegde were the names doing the rounds, it was reported that Baahubali girl Anushka Shetty has been cast opposite Prabhas after much speculation. However, reports now suggest that diva Sonam Kapoor was their first choice.

Made on a lavish budget of Rs 150 crore, Saaho has music by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, while Sabu Cyril will be the production engineer.

Directed by Sujeeth Reddy of Run Raja Run fame, Saaho teaser was well received by fans and the film is expected to release next year.
