Anushka Shetty and Prabhas's commendable chemistry in their last release 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' did grab the attention, considering which it was reported that the rumoured couple will also be seen romancing each other in 'Saaho'.

However, much to everyone's disappointment, soon came the reports that the 'Baahubali' actress was dropped from 'Saaho' and the reason was said to be Anushka's weight. It was reported that the makers found Anushka overweight for the role and hence chose to drop her.

But looks like these reports are mere rumors as Anushka is yet to be finalised for the movie.

As per a report published in India.com, a source quoted as saying, “The shooting is not happening at this moment; it’ll only start from this month end. These reports about Anushka are false because she’s not yet confirmed. The makers are yet to take a call. They’ll take a decision soon. [Also], everyone is speculating that Anushka is finalised for Saaho because the same banner is producing a film called Bhagmati, which stars Anushka in the lead.”

“It’s not like she’s overweight or anything. She’s looking good and she’s acting in one more film [Bhagmati]. She gained weight for Size Zero, but that was two years ago, and after that, she did Baahubali and she looked very much in shape,” the source added.

Well, although the makers are yet to finalise the female lead for 'Saaho', hopes are on to see Prabhas and Anushka back together on the silver screen

Mumbai: Contrary to rumours suggesting that Anushka Shetty lost out on Prabhas’s ‘Saaho’ owing to weight issues, fresh report says that the pretty actress was never finalised for the film in the first place.

It was being believed that Anushka had been roped in to play the leading lady in Sujeeth’s futuristic film. Owing to the popularity of her chemistry with Prabhas in ‘Baahubali’, fans wanted to see her romancing the hunk in ‘Saaho’ too!

According to a report in India.com, originally attributed to an online portal, a source said, “The shooting is not happening at this moment; it’ll only start from this month end. These reports about Anushka are false because she’s not yet confirmed. The makers are yet to take a call. They’ll take a decision soon. However, as per a new Zee News, the actress was never finalised for the role in the first place. Saahois being directed by Sujeeth Reddy, who made his directorial debut at the age of 23 with Run Raja Run.
Shetty and Prabhas' crackling chemistry in Baahubali 2: The Conclusion left the audience wanting for more. The fans were rooting for both of them to come together on screen ever since the film was announced. However, the news of Shetty not being cast in the film anymore surprised many. According to the same report, the makers of the film are yet to take the call about casting the lead actress. Therefore, Shetty has not been completely dropped from the film, the makers are just considering more options.

Earlier, BollywoodLife had reported that Shetty was being dropped because of her weight although she had started preparing for her role. However, as per the
Zee News report, Shetty is already a part of Bhagmati, another film which is being produced under the same banner as Saaho. Therefore, the news of her being unfit for Saaho is just hearsay.
