After completing the first schedule in Europe, team Thala 57 is on a break at the moment. They are expected to resume shoot in Hyderabad in a week’s time. Reports say that Ajith Kumar is expected to sport a different makeover compared to the one he had donned in the previous schedule. Ajith was spotted wearing an Interpol officer's costume in one of the leaked photos taken during the first schedule.



If you are talking about a Siruthai Siva film, you can be assured that you’ll find more than one deadly villain in the film. There have been so many talks about who is going to be the main antagonist in Thala 57 but it looks like the team has not taken a final call on this. We are told that there are talks with a few Tollywood and Bollywood stars.



Though the villain has not been finalized yet, antagonist build-up scenes have been shot in the last schedule. Reports suggest that the first look poster of the film will be released for Pongal 2017 while the film’s theatrical release is likely to happen in the month of May.

EXCLUSIVE UPDATES: THALA 57 - WHAT'S UP AND WHAT’S LEFT!

As informed earlier one schedule of Thala 57 has been completed thus far and the team is likely to resume shoot in a week’s time in Hyderabad.

When we inquired about the progress of the film to our sources close to the team, we got to understand that the Europe schedule apparently went on for 31 days, which involved 2 fight sequences and one song featuring Ajith Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal.

We hear that only close to 25% of the film is completed till now and 90 days of shoot are still left. Supposedly the team is planning for a May 2017 release.

 

THALA 57: CHENNAI TO HYDERABAD?

Thala 57 team, which recently completed a schedule in Europe, had planned to can a small portion in Chennai before they embarked upon their Hyderabad schedule. The Chennai segment reportedly involved shooting in a house set up which was meant to belong to heroine Kajal Agarwal.

However, due to reasons unknown, the team has reportedly shifted this portion also to Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad.

Thala 57, besides the leads, has Akshara Haasan, Karunakaran and Thambi Ramaiah in pivotal roles. Anirudh scores music and Vetri is in charge of the cinematography.

After shooting stylish action sequences in Europe, team Thala 57 is currently in Hyderabad for the second schedule of the film. Sources say that the shoot has already commenced in Ramoji Film City and it will continue there for another fifteen days.

Buzz in the media is that the film is loosely based on Taken 2 but the team is tight-lipped about the story line. Kajal Aggarwal plays Ajith’s wife in Thala 57 and Akshara Haasan is also said to be playing a crucial role in the film.


Directed by Siva of Veeram and Vedhalam fame, Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music for the film and Vetri is taking care of the visuals. Sathya Jyothi Films, producers of this yet-untitled action thriller is planning to release the film for Summer 2017.
