EXCITING UPDATES: WHEN WILL THALA 57 COMMENCE AND RELEASE?



It’s been 6 months since the release of Ajith’s last film Vedalam which hit the screens on the 10th of November for last Diwali. And Ajith fans are a little sad that their favorite star is yet to begin the shooting of his 57th film as he has taken a sabbatical owing to his surgery.

Earlier it was said that Ajith would kick start shoot for Siva project by the month of June/July with a Pooja on the 1st of May but now we hear from our sources that the makers are planning to start rolling by the month of August. Most parts of the film is expected to be shot abroad most likely in Europe. There is big possibility that the film might hit the screens on the 12th of April 2017 for Tamil New Year weekend.

 

The past week was rife with rumors suggesting that Santhanam will be doing a pivotal role along side Ajith in ‘Thala 57’ directed by Siruthai Siva following the grand success the trio met with their collaboration in ‘Veeram’.

In a recent press interaction Santhanam made it clear that he is sticking to his decision to do only lead roles and has not given his nod to play the comedian in any film. ‘Dilluku Dhuddu’ directed by Ram Bala and ‘Server Sundaram’ directed by Anand Balki are the two Santhanam starrers that are in finishing stages and will release one after the other in the coming months.

 

It is said that Thala Ajith Kumar had a long discussion close to 5 hours with the producers of Thala 57. The makers have apparently decided to shoot major portions of the film in Georgia located in eastern part of Europe.

This untitled film will most probably go on floors by late July or early August. Anushka is in talks to play the main female lead. The script is said to have another important female role which will supposedly be as important as Lakshmi Menon’s character in Vedalam.

 

Last week the media was abuzz with reports that Vijay Sethupathi has given his nod to play the chief antagonist opposite Ajith in ‘Thala 57’. The fact that the ‘Sethupathi’ star is not one bother about image lent credence to the news.

Now however, it has come to light that though Vijay Sethupathi was approached and he had no qualms about playing the villain to Ajith, his busy schedule with the current projects prevented him from accepting the offer. Furthermore, after completing ‘Rekka’ Vijay Sethupathi will combine with K. V. Anand for the biggest budgeted film of his career which needs bulk dates from him.
