After months of speculation, it looks like the makers of Ajith-starrer Thala 57 might finally zero in on their heroine. The makers, according to a source from the camp, are in the final stage of talks with three actresses viz. Anushka Shetty, Trisha Krishnan and Nayanthara. In the next couple of weeks, two lead heroines should be finalized.

To be produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, the project is tentatively titled Thala 57, and is slated to go on the floors from July. Director Siva along with his core technical team is currently busy finalizing location across Europe for recce.

Incidentally, a major portion of the film will be shot in Georgia, Europe and a few other international locations. Siva is said to have written an action thriller set against the backdrop of exotic locations and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to ensure they make a stylish film.

The yet-untitled film will be wrapped up by this year-end and if everything goes as planned, the film might hit the screens during Pongal next year.

Ajith met with an accident during the last leg of 'Vedalam' shooting and underwent a surgery immediately after the film's release in November 2015. He has been taking rest for these months as per the doctor's advice and he is making a grand comeback with this film.

Reportedly, Anirudh Ravichander has been appointed as the music director for the venture. Nayantara and Anushka Shetty are being considered for the role of the female lead. Soon an official announcement will be made regarding the rest of the cast and the crew.

Good news for Thala Ajith fans! Ajith and director Siva are all set to kickstart shooting for the Tamil superstar's 57th film.

According to the latest update, the shooting schedule ofthe untitled project -referred to as Thala 57 - will begin in London from 15 July. The film, which will see Ajith play a double role, also stars Kajal Aggarwal. And according to previous reports, the film also calls for a second female lead, with names of Anushka Shetty, Nayanthara, and Tamannaah Bhatia doing the rounds for the same.


Music composer Anirudh has been roped for the project, which will be produced under the banner of Sathya Jyothi Films.
