This is what Parvathy told her son Kalidas before he embarked on 'Poomaram'...

The Malayali audience has been patiently waiting for the release of the movie Poomaram which marks star kid Kalidas Jayaram’s re-entry into Mollywood.

As he awaits the release of his first Malayalam movie as hero, Kalidas recollected a few advices his mother Parvathy had given him when he was about to star in Poomaram.

Kalidas said, “When I came into movies, my father was already busy with a handful of films and my mother had quit acting. When I was doing Poomaram my mother told, ‘you have a roof above your head and food on your table. You have everything to live comfortably. So when you choose a movie, money should not be a priority. You should not see cinema as a business.”

Kalidas revealed that Shobha in the movie Vadakkunokkiyanthram was his favorite character that his mother played on screen.

“I always tell my mother that she was extremely fortunate to have worked with a brilliant screen writer like Sreeni uncle,” he said.

Among my father’s movies, I really liked Nadan directed by Kamal uncle. I was very hopeful that appa would win an award for that movie. I was really disappointed when he didn’t,” said the young actor.
