We, the friends, colleagues and family members of the Late Rajesh Pillai, are deeply offended by the spread of a message via Whatsapp stating that the movie currently under progress under the banner of Rajesh Pillai Films is a fund raising venture for Rajesh’s family. This movie, written and directed by editor Mahesh Narayanan and starring Parvathy, Kunchacko Boban and Fahadh Fazil is being produced by Anto Joseph in association with Rajesh Pillai Films. Earlier, Rajesh’s last movie, Vettah was also produced in association with Rajesh Pillai Films and this current venture is an effort on the part of Rajesh’s friends and family to keep his memory alive through his favourite medium. We would like to stress that every actor and technician associated with this movie is receiving the same remuneration as in any other movie they are associated with. The only difference here is the sense of kinship they share with Rajesh Pillai and the purpose for which they have come together in this movie. The said message talks about a meeting of online promoters to discuss this movie – we categorically state that the makers of this movie have absolutely no relation to this meeting and we strongly suspect this is a tactic on the part of the creators of this message to make money using Rajesh Pillai’s name. We strongly advise anyone who receives such messages to not get involved in such activities as you are likely to be cheated.
