Kali - Had seen the film while subtitling it, but not in all its glory (bgm, DI, sound effects and the whole theater experience). And now when I did, I really enjoyed it much more than I enjoyed it while watching it without any of these. A really taut and engaging romance/thriller which keeps you hooked. The pathbreaking director Sameer C Thahir goes the commercial way, and succeeds here too. And the highlight of the movie is of course -Dulquer Salmaan who is growing leaps and bounds as an actor with each movie of his. Playing the angry young man with precision and style, Dulquer is the best thing in this movie. He is mindblowing, to say the least. And we probably have yet another superstar-cum-fantastic actor in the making here. Sai Pallavi is absolutely lovely, her Malayalam dubbing is a lil awkward (but our audience wouldn't have accepted any other voice for her) and shares amazing chemistry with Dulquer. She gets much more screentime than she got in Premam, and makes full use of it. Soubin Shahiris a riot as usual, Chemban Vinod Jose is excellent and truly makes you feel disgusted, Vinayakan is fantastic as well. Vk Prakash Sir also makes a cameo in the movie. Gopi Sunder's chenda based theme score is fab,Girish Gangadharan's visuals, Vivek Harshan's taut editing, Vishnu Govind,Sree Sankar and Raja Krishnan's sound department also excels. Written byRajesh Gopinadhan with a clever mix of two genres and excellent characterization of the protagonist, Kali is definitely a great watch.

So glad the film has taken a bumper outing outside Kerala and the subtitles are helping non-Malayalis watch it and appreciate our cinema. And thank you Dulquer for your support!! smile emoticon smile emoticon
